Overview

What is QA4S?

QA4S is a web-based quality assurance platform designed for construction and welding projects. It provides end-to-end tracking of weld data, project compliance, and documentation — from project setup through final QC sign-off — across multiple owners, contractors, and job sites.

  • Multi-tenant: each owner's data is fully isolated
  • Granular role-based access control per feature
  • Full audit trail with soft-delete recovery
  • Real-time chat, notifications & calls

Access

User Roles

Each role has tailored access to the features relevant to their responsibilities.

Platform Admin

System administrator managing the entire platform, all owners, users, and master data.

Owner

The company or entity that owns the project or facility. Reviews dashboards and project status.

Contractor

The welding or construction company executing the work. Creates events, uploads certificates, and monitors progress.

Data Entry

On-site staff who record detailed weld data, QC results, and material specifications in the field.

Workflow

How It Works

Five clearly defined phases that take a project from setup to final sign-off.

1
Platform Admin

Platform Setup

Creates owners, locations, contractors, and configures all master reference data.

2
Owner + Admin

Project Creation

Owner creates a project linked to a location and assigns the contractor and team.

3
Contractor

Field Execution

Creates events, uploads ISO certificates, assigns encoders, and monitors weld progress.

4
Data Entry

Weld Recording

Records each weld with full pipe specs, connection details, and QC outcomes.

5
All Roles

Reporting

Owner views dashboards; Contractor generates Weld Reports 1 & 2; Admin has full visibility.

Data Entry

What Gets Recorded

Every weld is captured with full traceability across five data categories.

Equipment

Equipment type, unit assignment, package number

Pipe Specs

Line number, material type, schedule, thickness, size & diameter

Connection

Connection type, weld type, P&I diagram reference

QC Results

Visual Testing (VT), Fabrication QC, Post-Weld QC results

Outcome

Passed / Rejected (with reject category) / Eliminated status

Capabilities

Key Features

Multi-Tenant Architecture

Each Owner operates in complete isolation — projects, locations, and data are fully separated from other owners on the platform.

Role-Based Access Control

Permissions are configurable at role level and individual user level — covering View, Add, Edit, Delete, Upload, and Export per feature.

Document Management

ISO certificate uploads per contractor, deliverable attachments per event and equipment type, organized by owner and project.

Real-Time Communication

Built-in chat between team members, project update notifications, and voice/video call sessions — all integrated into the platform.

Multilingual Support

The platform is available in 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, German, and Russian.

Audit Trail

All records use soft-delete — everything is recoverable and a full history of changes is maintained, ensuring nothing is permanently lost.
